1. Course Overview

The BDS degree is awarded after successful completion of a five-year academic program, including a one-year compulsory internship. It prepares students to practice as qualified dentists, capable of diagnosing, preventing, and treating dental and oral health conditions. The program is regulated by the Dental Council of India and is one of the most sought-after courses in the medical stream after 12th. 2. Eligibility Criteria

No candidate shall be admitted to the BDS course unless they have passed a qualifying examination equivalent to 10+2 (Senior Secondary or Indian School Certificate Examination) after 12 years of study. The last two years must include Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects, with English as a compulsory subject.
